Kowloon Cares Donates to the Love 21 Foundation

On Wednesday, March 5th, DLA Piper Kowloon Rugby Club Chairman Dean McLachlan presented Jeff Rotmeyer of the Love 21 Foundation a cheque for HKD$15,000. The funds were raised at the Kowloon Cares dinner held last November, where artwork created by Gail Deayton and ESF students from Island School, Renaissance College and Discovery Bay School, including two canvases and two brightly painted bears, was auctioned off.

Since 2019, Kowloon Rugby Club has been providing Love 21 Foundation members the opportunity to participate in rugby themed sessions. Each week members from the club volunteer to help run sessions and provide positive and inclusive rugby activities. DLA Piper Kowloon Rugby Club was delighted to welcome Jayson Williams, Julia Roberts, and Emily Wier, from DLA Piper to assist with the session on March 5th and to help present the donation cheque to the Love 21 Foundation.

Kowloon Rugby Club strives to give back to the community and share the values of the club through the Kowloon Cares initiatives. The Kowloon Cares Community Programme offers very rewarding opportunities to go out into the Kowloon community, working with a broad range of groups and individuals, looking to bring some relief and happiness in the lives of those that may fall outside more traditional support services.
